Born and raised in Bandung, Anggarez has been fond of drawing since a young age. The path that led him to the field of art & design began with his interests as a teenager, music and skateboarding. After completing his studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Angga moved to Jakarta to pursue his career in the creative industry.
In 2012 while carrying out his duties at an advertising agency, Angga pursued his drawing activities again and began working as an illustrator. Initially, the projects he worked on were album covers or merchandise for bands, such as Seringai, Taring, Kelelawar Malam, Matiasu, Avhath, Final attack and many more, as well as several drawing projects for local clothing brands. Until now, Angga’s drawing portfolio has become increasingly diverse, ranging from artwork for bands, brands, musicians, record labels, publishers, communities, media, shops, both local and international and also continues to work for personal interests.
Angga enjoys exploring manual drawing techniques in his illustrations, mostly ink on paper, semi-realistic style with dark or fantasy visual characteristics, displaying hard, strange, scary or natural objects with the use of detailed line hatching, blocking, cross hatch or pointillism. Anggarez still holds on to his belief in preserving the originality of his work by drawing manually or traditionally, although it is inseparable from the digital editing process.
