Born in Jakarta, graduated from Graphic Design Department of the Art Faculty, Jakarta Arts Institute. Kemalreza Gibran or known as Gibranos is a visual artist, creative director, cyclist, amateur DJ also an entrepreneur. Now he is the creative director of Canvas Confluence Collective and spaCCCe. His work style, using a lines as the main element that form the object. Multilayered images with black bold lines and bright colors arise in which the fragility and instability of our seemingly certain reality is questioned. By taking his daily life such as bike as subject matter while commenting on the everyday aesthetic of middle class values, he touches various overlapping themes and strategies. His works often refers to pop and mass culture. In a search for new methods to ‘read the city’, he tries to develop forms that do not follow logical criteria, but are based only on subjective associations and formal parallels, which incite the viewer. His works establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. Gibranos also has been involved in several exhibition and art projects such as: Ride and Tag, A Visual Rated A Exhibition; Sketch Book Exhibiton, RURU Gallery, Google Chrome voted artist for “Google Chrome Openspace Project”, “Ini Tempat Main Gue”, Nike Mural Project with Saleh Husein, Collaboration with Popo for Ruangrupa shop artist merchandise project at RURU, Roppongi Art Festival, Tokyo, Gowezine with Binatang Press, and many collaboration project.
